Connect Cursor
Add the Bauhow MCP server through Cursor settings or mcp.json.
Cursor supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP and OAuth. You can configure Bauhow globally for every project or only in one repository.
Choose a configuration file
- Global:
~/.cursor/mcp.json - One project:
.cursor/mcp.jsonat the project root
Add this entry:
{
"mcpServers": {
"bauhow": {
"url": "https://mcp.bauhow.com/mcp"
}
}
}
You can also find the URL under Bauhow → Settings → Workspace → MCP server. Do not add an API key or OAuth secret. Cursor registers itself with Bauhow automatically.
Connect in Cursor
Open MCP configuration
In Cursor, open the MCP settings. Cursor reads both global and project-level mcp.json files automatically.
Enable Bauhow
Find the bauhow server and start the connection. Cursor opens the sign-in in your browser.
Approve the workspace
Sign in to Bauhow, choose the workspace on the Allow access page, and approve.
Check the tools
Confirm that the four Bauhow tools appear in Cursor’s MCP settings.
First prompt
Use only tools from the "bauhow" MCP server. Read the "verbrauch" module in
project <PROJECT-ID> and show any missing required fields. Do not change data.
Team use
You can commit .cursor/mcp.json to the repository for your team. The file contains only the server URL, not credentials. Each person signs in separately and chooses their workspace. Tokens remain in each person’s local Cursor profile.
